Inscriptions
Inscriptions from Bayan Ölgiy occur on rock outcroppings, usually together with pecked or engraved imagery. Inscriptions include two primary types: those from the Turkic period and others from the Mongol period. There are a few inscriptions executed in classical Mongolian script and others written in modern Kazakh or Mongolian.
